Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection combines all 10 mainline games from the series, including Mega Man Battle Network 1 and 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue & White, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun & Blue Moon, Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman & Team Colonel, and Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar & Cybeast Falzar. The title screen will be similar to the original series’ PET screen. "He'll have various reactions based on your play and control style," noted Capcom in its TGS presentation. Even though you have far less room to move in, you have those 2 features at all times that you can use if you need them making battles fun and fast paced just like Battle Network. In addition to the online functionality, the game’s title screen will feature a fully voiced MegaMan.EXE as your personal Navi. Geo also has a Lock-On feature as well as Shield, where he will zoom up close to the enemy for a point blank attack, very useful for swords when enemies are far away from you. There is no MB limit either so ANY card can be made as a favorite. You can take 2 chips in a column and 3 white chips in the other slots if you so felt like it. These cards gain a white border instead of yellow and they ignore the 2 rules just mentioned. When making your folder you pick 6 to be favorites. They did keep a certain aspect from BN like the * coded cards now called Favorites. All same name cards you can select just like BN or chips in the same column can be selected instead. You still make a folder of 30 cards and in battle they are laid out in a 2x3 grid. Battles chips now called Battle Cards no longer have codes but no longer can you make Program Advances (not until Starforce 3 anyway). Instead of mashing the button to fire, you hold the button for rapid fire and instead of holding the button to charge, you just let it go and stop attacking and it auto-charges for you. The buster works differently as well and I enjoy this the most of it. Physical attacks have to be dodged however. However for Geo this is perfectly fine as he has a BLOCK mechanic and can defend ANY projectile attack. In BN this would mean you only have your back column while the enemy has every other space. The grid is much shorter as you can only move 3 spaces horizontally. Geo plays differently than Lan/MegaMan entirely. The human world is getting invaded by aliens who have connections to Geo's dad and the boy wants answers but has to fight in order to get those answers and stop the aliens from invading the planet in the process. You play as a broken kid who, in time, learns to trust others and opens up to others in his adventure with an alien who he ends up merging with named Omega-Xis or (Mega for short). Geo is melancholic, doubtful, and would rather mind his own business than meddle with anyone else. The characters you interact with have more relevance to the plot and you play as Geo Stellar, a boy who lost his father and is practically the complete opposite of Lan who is cheerful, energetic and has a strong sense of justice. It's less complex and still stays very fun regardless. Its practically the same thing just slightly different. Its like getting a ice cream from from your fave seller then getting sherbet later. So I find it very unfortunate if those who loved Battle Network can't appreciate this new series that was mostly made for them. Those who love Battle Network? Those who don't care for Battle Network at all? I don't know but this game was MADE FOR Battle Network fans AND made to be easier for non-Battle Network fans to try getting into. I can only wonder what type of fan(s) have said this. Yes this is a new type of MegaMan and it is very similar to Battle Network that some have called it Battle Network 7. When Starforce came out it was met with lots of hate by fans for 1) Being another "new MegaMan" and 2) Being too much like Battle Network Love MegaMan Battle Network? This is the series for you and its GOOD.
